About FrankieOne

The onboarding experience for a bank, crypto company or telco has historically been painful for all parties involved. This is a MASSIVE global problem and FrankieOne is on a mission to rebuild the identity infrastructure to change this!

FrankieOne is a VC backed, product lead, global fintech that has connected over 300+ global identity and fraud providers into a single platform allowing us to provide a single unified view, single unified API and one damn fine onboarding experience.

In a little over 2 years our infrastructure already powers tier 1 banks, global BNPL players, the majority of Neobanks in Australia and some of the fastest growing fintechs in the world.

Today we are in 46 countries, though this figure might have changed once I’ve finished this post, we are experiencing exponential growth right now which is creating huge opportunities for talented people in our team to get involved in new and exciting projects. Anyone joining us during this exciting phase will need to be ready to innovate and step outside their comfort zone, everyone in the team has an impact on our success.

How you will you impact the teams success

We're a group of highly collaborative, extremely curious product managers, designers, and engineers who love building experiences that help our customers harness the benefits of a unified API and interface, even as they grow larger and become more sophisticated. Our problem space is big, broad, and largely unsolved. We have some huge ideas, and we need your help to bring them to life!

As a Product Manager, you’ll help build innovative identity and fraud risk products for our customers around the world.

You'll lead our roadmap and be responsible for building our APIs and products that touch both the end customer and our clients. A Product Manager at FrankieOne drives the complete product offering, from early stage research and problem definition, through to implementation and iteration based on key success metrics.

Our ideal Product Manager has led technical products or large-scale platforms, has an extreme attention to detail, concisely communicates complex concepts, and is equally excited about 99.9999% reliability and financial correctness as well as beautiful product UX and API design.

You’re a creative product thinker who loves collaborating across the company with engineering, analytics, marketing, design and sales.

Reporting to the CEO you will have a major impact on the strategy and direction of FrankieOne and hence the overall success of the business.

 You have:

  • You have experience managing technical software products from kick-off to ship

  • Beyond just shipping new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement and can optimize for shipping a portfolio of small, medium and large releases
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to translate customer and technical requirements into a commercial framework
  • Experience utilising data to ensure market and customer relevance
  • You’re passionate about building the best possible user experience, and you monitor your metrics to see whether you’re delivering

You will:

  • Formulate product vision and strategy
  • Be super focused on creating optimum customer experiences and use metrics to optimise output
  • Lead and be responsible for the product roadmap and tech initiatives that align to customer needs
  • Drive execution of cross-team projects from inception to launch
  • Work with customer facing teams, development teams, QA and others to remove roadblocks and bottlenecks and achieve real outcomes
  • Pivot and innovate as the business moves and grows.

More about you:

You are proud to have shipped world-class products that have solved huge customer problems and you are used to working in technical teams that deal with ambiguity every day.  You bring a rare mix of technical understanding and business experience.  You are data driven, focused and passionate about what you do.  You have a sense of urgency and you take pride in the way you drive multi-functional teams to get results.  You are a creative thinker with a penchant for creating simplicity out of complexity and you love working in a high energy environment with smart people where you can make an impact.

What success looks like:

In your first month, we will give you the full induction so that you understand the company culture and meet all of your cross-functional partners. We will ensure that you have all the tools that you need to be successful.

You will also spend quite a bit of this time working with Simon, the CEO so that you have a full understanding of FrankieOne’s mission and vision and current product roadmap..

By month two you will be getting your head around the current situation and starting to get involved in strategy conversations.  You are already making an impact!

You are starting to build your framework and creating a pipeline of opportunities to focus on. You will be delivering on some low hanging opportunities and refining your vision and taking action.

By month 3 you will be engrossed in working across teams and building roadmaps to achieve your vision.   You will be juggling multiple conversations and focusing on delivering critical releases whilst innovating and getting everyone on board with your strategy.

The team

You will be reporting to Simon Costello, FrankieOne’s CEO. Simon initially started his career in investment banking though has since successfully founded 3 further startups across Europe (www.streetbees.com), Asia (www.hyphengroup.io) and Australia (bopple.com), collectively raising over $200m in capital. Simon is a bit of a hippy at heart, rides his bicycle everywhere, lives in the North and his pride and joy is his vegetable patch and wormery.

You’ll be working closely with Aaron Chipper, FrankieOne’s CTO. Aaron has been programming since the age of 7 and has spent the majority of his career either working in or with startups. He spent 20 years building mobile and social payments networks across the globe and was part of the team that sold Fusion Payments to Telstra. When not wrangling 1’s and 0’s, Aaron like to work in his orchard or with his bees.

You will also work closely with our Tech Lead, Andrew Edwards.  Before joining Frankie Andrew worked as a CTO for a healthcare startup, prior to that was CTO and Co-Founder for a startup in the online event ticketing space, which sold over $100Million of tickets around the world. When not banging on about metric led development, Andrew is interested in building and playing synthesisers.
